Deccan Gold Mines Limited (DGML) is the first and the only gold exploration company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) which was established in the year 2003 by promoters with deep roots in the exploration and mining sector. The company, for a long period of time, has been involved in gold exploration activities in India and overseas. Its exploration in India, particularly in the state of Karnataka led to discovery of open pittable gold deposits in the Archaean greenstone belts of Dharwar Craton. These deposits are in Hutti and Dharwar - Shimoga belts. The company has also completed a JORC - compliant Feasibility on Ganajur gold deposit in Karnataka.
